Hosting Plans What is the configuration of your servers? All of our servers are custom built servers with Intel dual P3 or P4 processors, running on Redhat Linux with Apache Web server. Service and upgrades are being carried out at regular intervals to optimize performance. What connectivity is available to your servers? Our servers are located in a telco-grade data center facility connecting to the Internet via a Verizon OC-192 fiber connection. We also have multiple DS3 connections with Verio, Sprint and AT&T for maximum connectivity. Do I have my own mail server for my POP3 email accounts? Yes, the default host name of your mail server is mail.yourdomain.com. Can I host more than one domain on my account? One domain can be hosted on each account. However, if you have multiple domain names, you might want to consider the AverMulti plan which support 5 domain names with 50mb disksapce each. Is it possible to upgrade plans later? Yes, you can upgrade your plan any time. Please email us and we will be happy to discuss options with you. There are no setup fees for upgrading accounts. Can I change the domain name hosting on my account ? Yes, you can choose to host another of your domains on your account. Simply email us with your initial username and password, including the details of your new domain name. We will be happy to re-setup your account for you. Do you allow mp3, exe or zip files? We allow any file types provided it must be legal. The files may not be copyrighted by another party. We may remove any non-complying files and terminate such accounts immediately, as this is a violation of the Terms of Service. Do you support PHP4, mySQL database and ASP? Yes, we support PHP4 on all plans and we support mySQL database on AverPLUS or above plans. However, we do not support ASP at the moment. Do you have static IPs? All of our hosting plans are hosted as virtual domains on our servers, static IP are not provided to individual accounts at the moment. Is there any bandwidth limit? No, we do not impose a bandwidth limit. (Except on reseller plans) We can offer unlimited bandwidth because we have very high ratios of bandwidth per customer. Only in extreme cases when one customer is unfairly monopolizing our resources, which lead to the rights of other customers being jeopardized, then we may suspend the particular account according to our Terms of Service. Domain Names Do you support international domain names? Yes, we support all international domain names. Is domain registration fees included in the hosting fees? Domain registration and renewal fees are not included in our fees, you will be responsible for registering and renewing your domain names. I do not have a domain name, how do I register one? There are many domain registrars available on the Internet. Typically, the cost is around US$10 - US$15 per domain per year. I already have a domain name, how do I point my domain name to your servers? Once you have sign-up with us, you will be emailed the account instructions within 24 hours. You can simply follow the instructions in the email to resolve your domain to our servers. How long does it take to transfer my domain? Depending on your domain registrar, it may take up to 72 hours. The time is needed for your DNS info to be propagated through nameservers across the internet. Account Billing How do I pay online? You can pay by all major credit cards with our secure payment gateway at PayPal. PayPal is the most trusted online payment system. If you do not yet have an account at PayPal, you will be able to setup one when you are placing your order. Once you have your account setup, your credit card will be billed automatically at each billing cycle. Are there any contracts? The minimum term commitment is one billing cycle. My credit card is going to expire soon, how can I update my billing record? You can update your credit card record of your PayPal account on PayPal's website. Where can I get the details of my payment record and status? You can view such information at your PayPal account. How can I cancel my account? You can send an email to our customer support department to cancel your account. Please contact us at least 5 days before the end of your billing cycle to avoid being billed for the next cycle. Technical Support When will my domain be accessible after the DNS change? After the DNS setting is modified on your domain, the change will take effect in 72 hours. Your website and control panel will not be accessible until the DNS change have propagated through the Internet completely. How can I access my email accounts? You can send and receive mail on your email account by setting up any email software on your local computer using the following setting: POP3 server: mail.yourdomain.com SMTP server: <the default SMTP server of your ISP> How do I setup the header of my scripts to point to perl and sendmail? path to perl: /usr/bin/perl path to sendmail: /usr/sbin/sendmail When I execute my script, an error message shows up, what should I do? The error message indicates that there are errors in your scripts. You script might have been setup incorrectly, or there are bugs in your script. Check your script again, and you should contact the script vendor for detail advice. Web based control panel. A state of art control panel is included on every hosting plan. You can access your control panel at http://www.yourdomain.com/cpanel/ You will be able to manage every feature of your account easily on the web based control panel.
